ABOUT ROME

Just a short drive from Atlanta, Birmingham, and Chattanooga – Georgia’s Rome will make a lasting impression on you and your family. With three rivers, seven hills, quaint restaurants, and charming shops: there’s something fun for everyone! Georgia’s Rome is a beautiful city comprised of seven hills, three rivers and an urban forest. When you come to Georgia’s Rome, one thing becomes evident right off; it is a very hospitable place to be. Romans welcome friends, neighbors and visitors like no other.

We are very excited about the interest and excitement generated by our small city. Georgia’s Rome has been awarded many accolades that we proudly think describe our city such as:  National Main Street Award winner, A City of Excellence, the Number One Small City in the Southeast, and the 12th Most Livable Small City in the United States.  We’re full of cultural activities, family activities and sporting events and look forward to welcoming the NAIA National Football Championship in 2008 and 2009.
